Follow Us on Instagram

Follow us for quick updates on PTA events, programs, and ways to get involved.

This account is meant to complement—not replace—existing communication channels, helping us reach more families with timely reminders and highlights. Everything shared on Instagram will already have been communicated through other school channels.

We’re excited to connect with our community in another way! 💙🐎

  • To give families another convenient way to stay informed. Social media is simply an additional way to share flyers, reminders, and

celebrations—it will not replace ParentSquare, Konstella, email, or printed communications.

  • No. We will not post any photos that show children’s faces. Protecting student privacy is our top priority.

What kind of photos might be posted?

If we post photos, they will only be shared after an event has ended, and only if students cannot be identified. Examples include:

    • Photos taken from behind

    • Wide-angle crowd shots

    • Hands or activity close-ups

    • Blurred-out faces

    • Photos with no students visible

  • No. We never post names, classes, or identifying information.

  • For events where children are present (such as STEAM Night, PumpkinFest, Walk-a-thon), we may intentionally withhold dates or times on social media to help maintain campus security.

Full details will always be available through ParentSquare, Konstella, and official school emails.

  • Yes. Adult-only events may include full details since students are not present.

  • All posts are reviewed by at least two PTA board members, using an approval email alias that will include the principal, PTA president, and communications leads.

  • To keep our social media accurate, consistent, and aligned with our safety and privacy standards, posting access will be limited to approved individuals only. (The PTA President, Communications VP & Deputy, and the principal )

Additionally, all posts will be reviewed by at least two PTA board members before publishing to ensure they meet our safety and privacy guidelines.

  • Please contact socialmediaposts@mlpta.org to request changes or removal. These concerns will go to the principal, PTA president, and communications leads for quick follow-up.

  • No. To maintain safety and prevent misinformation, comments will be turned off on all posts.

  • Social media is for quick updates only.

Please contact the PTA directly through email, our website, or Konstella (a private, login-required platform) for questions or concerns.

  • We plan to run social media on a trial basis from January through the end of the school year. We will review the results and make adjustments before continuing into next year.
