Join Our WhatsApp Community
The PTA is excited to host official WhatsApp groups for each classroom and grade level! These groups are a fantastic, casual way to connect with fellow parents, ask quick questions, and support each other throughout the school year.
To keep these groups safe, useful, and welcoming for everyone, please take a moment to review our group guidelines below.
We’re excited to connect with our community in another way! 💙🐎
-
Connect Families: Get to know other parents/caregivers in your child’s class.
Class Updates: Stay informed about class events and PTA events and initiatives
Informal Playdates & Meetups: Easily organize casual park meetups, study groups, or weekend get-togethers outside of school.
-
Be Respectful, Kind, and Inclusive
When engaging with other families on this platform, we expect all members to maintain a respectful, kind, and positive tone. Treat others as you would in the school hallway.Keep Content Relevant
Do: Ask quick questions about class events, coordinate playdates, and share helpful PTA/school reminders.
Don't: Post spam, political or commercial advertising, personal business promos, or chain messages.
Respect Privacy & Safety
Do not share photos, names, or contact details of children or parents outside of this group without explicit permission.
Do not forward group chats or photos to external parties.
Not for Grievances or Emergency Issues
Individual Student/Teacher Concerns: Please reach out directly to the classroom teacher or school administration.
PTA Inquiries: Contact the PTA board directly via official email rather than airing grievances in the group chat.
Mind the Time
Try to keep messages between 7:00 AM and 8:00 PM so phones aren't buzzing late at night or early in the morning.
-
Opt-In Only: Joining this group is entirely voluntary via QR code or invite link. You may leave the group at any time.
Admin Roles: Room Parents serve as the group administrators. They are responsible for managing invite links, sharing official updates, and ensuring group guidelines are followed to keep the space positive and helpful for everyone.
Removal Policy: Group and community administrators reserve the right to remove any member from the platform at any time, for any reason, to protect the community environment and ensure guidelines are maintained.
-
Use Direct Messaging (DM): If a message or reply only pertains to one person (e.g., "I can pick up the craft supplies for you"), send a direct message instead of replying to the whole group.
Mute Notifications: Feel free to mute group notifications in your WhatsApp settings if you prefer to check messages on your own time.
-
Official PTA news and volunteer sign-ups will stay on Konstella, while WhatsApp groups are meant to serve as an informal, supplementary space for class-level connections.
